DTTWSB Week 13 NFL Picks

Oh how the season has gone by fast. We are now entering the phase where the weather gets colder and the hits get harder. This is the perfect week for a Steelers-Ravens clash and a Jets-Patriots game. Last week my picks record was a pretty good 11-5 which brought my season record to 108-68. In comparison to the ESPN NFL experts, my record lands me in the top four. This week I expect to improve on my already impressive record. Alright, enough of me running my mouth. Here are this weeks picks.

Texans at Eagles: Eagles

I like Philly in this one, especially because they're at home. I expect them to bounce back from their loss to Chicago last week. The Texans have a very leaky defense that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will expose. Which ever teams defense plays best will be the teams that wins this game.

Falcons at Buccaneers: Buccaneers

Some people may think this is an upset but with Tampa Bay playing at home I like them to beat the Falcons on Sunday. The Buccaneers defense hasn't been stellar but they're getting better and they play with a lot of energy at home. Atlanta just came off an emotional win against the Packers and having to travel on the road to play a division rival is a tough task for any team. Give me the upstart Buccaneers in this one.

Steelers at Ravens: Steelers

In what will be the most physical game of the week, I just can't pick against the Steelers. The Ravens are tough at home but if any team can beat them there it's Pittsburgh. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger always seems to play his best when the odds are against him so I expect him to have a great game. The first team to score 17 points will win this game, that's why I like the black and gold.

Jets at Patriots: Jets

In my opinion, this is the best game of the week. It has so many playoff implications it's not even funny. At the end of the day, I think the Jets will pull out a close victory. Over the years, the Jets have been building to beat the Patriots and this will be their game to put their stamp on the AFC East. The Jets are the most complete team in the league and I think that will show this Monday night.

***Upset Special***
Saints at Bengals: Bengals

My upset of the week is a stretch with the way the Bengals have been playing lately but I think they can pull it off. The Saints defense is overrated so the Bengals offensive line should be able to protect quarterback Carson Palmer. Also, the Bengals defense started playing hard last week when they took on the Jets. This game being in Cincinnati should mean colder weather which will slow down the Saints offensive attack. With one eye open, I'll take the Bengals in this one.

The rest of the weeks picks:

Bears at Lions: Bears
49ers at Packers: Packers
Jaguars at Titans: Jaguars
Broncos at Chiefs: Chiefs
Browns at Dolphins: Dolphins
Bills at Vikings: Vikings
Redskins at Giants: Giants
Raiders at Chargers: Chargers
Cowboys at Colts: Colts
Rams at Cardinals: Rams
Panthers at Seahawks: Seahawks
