With the third week being concluded on Monday Night Football (where my upset pick of the Bears beating the Packers came through) we now turn to Week 4. In this edition of the Down To The Wire Sports Blog power rankings there is a new team at the number one position. There are some great games this week which should also tell us a little more about the teams that look like contenders. Without further ado, here are my Week 4 power rankings.
1. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0): This team is a bonafide Super Bowl contender. I liked them as the best team in the AFC during the preseason but not for one minute did I think the Steelers to start the season 0-3 without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Their defense is playing lights out football that is similar to the way the played in 2008 when they won the Super Bowl. Nobody wants to play this team when Roethlisberger gets back.
2. New York Jets (2-1): It looks like the Jets are finally getting their feet underneath them. I didn't expect for them to travel down to South Beach for a Sunday night matchup with the Dolphins and come away with a victory. If Sanchez can continue to progress this team will be a hard out come January. Their defense didn't look as good without corner back Darrelle Revis but they should be able to play well enough while he's out to win games until he returns.
3. Baltimore Ravens (2-1): The Ravens look brilliant for trading for wide receiver Anquan Boldin. He has performed like an absolute beast this season. They have great balance on their team which is key in the playoffs. I would be completely sold on this team if it wasn't for their quarterback. I simply do not trust Joe Flacco. He seems to struggle when he plays zone defensive. I can't wait to see this defense when free safety Ed Reed gets back.
4. Chicago Bears (3-0): The Bears are looking like the real surprise team of the NFL. Their defense has been playing at the same high level they played when they made it to the Super Bowl. They've always been able to stop the pass but they can now stop the run as well. Offensively they have a questionable offensive line but the Cutler-Martz relationship seems to put just enough points up to win games. We'll see if they can keep it up.
5. Indianapolis Colts (2-1): There isn't much to say about the Colts these days. Peyton Manning will play the way he does week in and week out. Their running game is non-existent. The same goes for their soft defense. I don't see the Colts doing much in the post season, but Peyton Manning will have them atop the AFC South by the seasons end.
6. New Orleans Saints (2-1): Last week was a disappointment for the Saints and their fans. They had a chance to start the season 3-0 if it wasn't for Garrett Hartley's blunder of a game-winning field goal. There were some eye-popping mistakes that were made on Sunday. Their defense got shredded up and down the field. They need to focus playing defense instead of trying to cause turnovers.
7. Green Bay Packers (2-1): The Packers got exposed a little bit on Monday Night Football against Chicago. They have a problem at offensive line. Their running game is also very weak. When they play good teams, they will struggle because they don't have any balance. Their defense is predicated on quarterback Aaron Rodgers holding on to the ball. If the Packers can't control the time of possision, they will be in trouble.
8. Dallas Cowboys (1-2): In a must-win game, they went on the road and beat a decent Houston Texans team. If they can focus week in and week out, their is no reason they can't be the best team in the NFC. I'm not crowning this team yet, but the win at Houston and the bye week coming up should do them well. Look out for them if they can get hot.
9. New England Patriots (2-1): On Sunday, the Patriots found themselves in a hard-fought game against the Bills. Offensively they are very explosive and difficult to stop with all their weapons. The issue with them is that their defense is swiss chees. They allowed 30 points to a Ryan Fitzpatrick-led offense. If that defense doesn't clean its act up my preseason prediction of 9-7 will hold true.
10. Tennesee Titans (2-1): The Titans are very easily one of the better teams in the league. Their only loss is to an outstanding Pittsburgh Steelers team. Any team that is coached by Jeff Fisher is a well-coached ball club. I love their defensive and offensive lines. They dominated the New York Giants on the road at the Meadowlands. This is one of the better teams that nobody knows about.

DTTWSB Week 3 NFL Picks
Unfortunately for me, last week I had a rougher time with my picks than I did in the first week of the season. By the end of Week 2, I limped all the way to a 9-7 record putting my record for the season at 19-13. It's not a terrible record but I think I can do better. This week, the games are a bit tricky. I'm also giving you the reader a special treat, there will be two upset specials this week! I'm looking to go 16-0 on my picks this week. Watch it happen. Here are the picks.
Falcons at Saints: Saints
I expect the Saints to win this game especially when they're at home behind that raucous crowd known as the Who Dat Nation. The Falcons defense is too leaky to go on the road and contain an offense like this. Although the Saints have a high-powered offense, they can have ball ran all over them and the Falcons are a good running team. Ultimately I like quarterback Drew Brees to shred that Falcons secondary all afternoon and cruise to a 3-0 start.
Steelers at Buccaneers: Steelers
During most weeks, this game would not be one of the marquee matchups, but I had to make it one since both teams have gotten off to 2-0 starts. The matchup I'll be watching is Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman against Steelers defensive coordinator Dick Lebeau's 3-4 zone blitz scheme. All quarterback struggle against Lebeau and his defense during their first go around. I don't expect a lot of points to be scored in this game, but I do expect the Steelers to have enough "know how" to win this game.
Jets at Dolphins: Dolphins
This is one of the more interesting matchups of the week. The Dolphins are a very good football team that doesn't beat themselves. When they win it doesn't look pretty but it gets the job done. I actually think the Jets are a better football team but with game being played in South Beach at night, I like the Dolphins. That crowd will be fired up and ready to go. I also think this will be the game that the Jets will miss nose tackle Kris Jenkins the most because the Dolphins have an excellent running game.
***Upset Specials***
Cowboys at Texans: Cowboys
This is the first of my upset specials this week. I think the 0-2 Dallas Cowboys will travel across the state of Texas and beat the 2-0 Houston Texans. I think the Cowboys will bounce back nicely after having the entire sports world laugh at them. They were put in this situation last December when they had to play the then undefeated Saitns and they won in a hostile environment. Texans left tackle Duane Brown also got a four-game suspension so that should allow DeMarcus Ware to be in the backfield quite a bit. Look for a Cowboys team coming into the game with something to prove against an in-state rival.
Packers at Bears: Bears
The second of my upset specials this week is the Bears will beat the Packers this Monday. After watching the Bears the past two weeks, I've been very impressed with their defense. Their rush defense has been phenomenal and they've always been great against the pass. I think Aaron Rodgers will stuggle in this game because the Packers offensive line won't be able to contain a Julius Peppers-led pass rusher. Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz has quarterback Jay Cutler playing like a top 10 talent again. The pieces in Chicago are falling together quite nicely and I expect that to be on display on Monday Night Football.
The rest of the weeks picks:
49ers at Chiefs: 49ers
Lions at Vikings: Vikings
Bills at Patriots: Patriots
Titans at Giants: Titans
Bengals at Panthers: Bengals
Browns at Ravens: Ravens
Redskins at Rams: Redskins
Eagles at Jaguars: Eagles
Colts at Broncos: Colts
Raiders at Cardinals: Cardinals
Chargers at Seahawks: Chargers
Falcons at Saints: Saints
I expect the Saints to win this game especially when they're at home behind that raucous crowd known as the Who Dat Nation. The Falcons defense is too leaky to go on the road and contain an offense like this. Although the Saints have a high-powered offense, they can have ball ran all over them and the Falcons are a good running team. DTTWSB Week 3 NFL Power Rankings
Entering the third week of the season, we have a better gauge of how good some teams are. A lot of teams impressed while others looked as bad as they did during Week 1. Again, like the first week of the season, the second week likes to cause a lot of knee-jerk reactions. A lot of people crown teams when we haven't even finished the first month of the season. With that said, here are the Week 3 power rankings.
1. New York Jets (1-1): The Jets played up to their ability last Sunday when they dominated the Patriots on both sides of the ball. With their talent, the Jets should beat every team in the league. The development of quarterback Mark Sanchez will determine how far this team goes.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0): My Super Bowl representative in the AFC is looking like a genius pick right now. It's only Week 3, but the Steelers look better than I thought they would, and I was raving about this team in the offseason. They will be scary good when they get quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back from suspension.
3. New Orleans Saints (2-0): The defending champs are picking up right where they left off last season. This is a team that is well-coached and lead by one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Drew Brees. The defense is a little shaky, especially when they play good teams though.
4. Baltimore Ravens (1-1): The Ravens are a balanced football team but Joe Flacco and that passing game has got to get better if they want to go deep in the playoffs. The defense and running game a top notch. When they get free safety Ed Reed back they will be even better defensively.
5. Indianapolis Colts (1-1): Here's a team that is very difficult to beat if they can get ahead of you early. Just ask the Giants if you need confirmation. There is no reason they can't win the division, but they may stumble in the playoffs.
6. Green Bay Packers (2-0): Green Bay looked great throughout preseason and they've looked great to start the season. Aaron Rodgers is a great young quarterback and he is leading that Packers offense in spite of that leaky offensive line. They may be in trouble this week when they travel to Chicago.
7. New England Patriots (1-1): The Pats are a very good football team despite some of their glaring holes. Last Sunday their offensive line was exposed against that Jets front seven. With that said, as long as you have Brady and Belichick together, you will be always be in the hunt.
8. Houston Texans (2-0): This is everyones surprise team of the 2010 season. I think they're a good football team but I'm not as high on them as everyone else is. They have a huge game with the rival Cowboys this Sunday for state bragging rights. We'll see if they get it done.
9. Dallas Cowboys (0-2): In Dallas, the theme of all the talk radio shows and newspaper has been "the sky is falling". Despite the 0-2 start I still feel comfortable saying that the Cowboys will be in the Super Bowl come February. I think they get some critics of their back this Sunday when they play Houston.
10. Cincinatti Bengals (1-1): Here is a ticking time bomb if I've ever seen one. The Bengals look like a new version of the 2008 Dallas Cowboys. They have great weapons but I'm not sure they can compete with the Steelers or Ravens. Keep your eye on this team though because if they click, they can play with some of the best teams in the league.
1. New York Jets (1-1): The Jets played up to their ability last Sunday when they dominated the Patriots on both sides of the ball. With their talent, the Jets should beat every team in the league. The development of quarterback Mark Sanchez will determine how far this team goes.

DTTWSB Week 2 NFL Picks
Now that Week 1 is in the books, we turn the page to Week 2 in the NFL season. Last week I went 10-6 with my picks. The Monday Night Football games absolutely killed me. I knew the Chargers and Chiefs was going to be a good game, but I didn't think the Chiefs had enough to win. They definitely proved me wrong. I think Week 1 is the hardest week to pick games because there are so many unknowns. Now that I've seen every team in action, I'll be looking to improve on my current 10-6 record.
Ravens at Bengals: Bengals
This is a huge early season game for the AFC North. If you were to ask me who the better team is on paper, I would instantly say the Ravens. As we all know though, the game isn't played on paper. The Bengals will be playing with a desperate mentality because they cannot afford to start the season 0-2. Also, the Ravens just played a physical game on the road last week, and they now have a short week to prepare since they played on Monday night. My gut tells me the Bengals win this one.
Steelers at Titans: Titans
Like the Ravens and Jets game a week ago, this will be another headbanger's ball. These are two physical football teams that play great defense. Both teams are well coached and don't make mental errors. Ultimately, I think Steelers quarterback Dennis Dixon gets exposed on the road against that Titans defense. Look for this game to low scoring. The Steelers are my pick from the AFC to make it to the Super Bowl but I think they fall short this week, although it wouldn't surprise me if they won.
Patriots at Jets: Jets
A lot of people are jumping of the Jets bandwagon because they lost to the Ravens last week. I'm not one of those people. I think the Jets will be able to run the ball on the Patriots defense with ease on Sunday. The matchup everyone wants to see is Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss agaisnt Jets corner back Darrelle Revis. Personally, I think Revis should be able to contain him. The Jets should also be able to get pressure on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Jets head coach Rex Ryan should have this team ready to play on Sunday.
Giants at Colts: Colts
Manning Bowl II should be similar to the first one that took place four years ago. I like the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning to bounce back nicely Sunday night. For the Giants to win they have to stay committed to the run. Younger brother Eli Manning cannot afford to turn the ball over in this game. Ultimately I think the Giants will be asked to do too much on the road to win this game. I like Indianapolis.
***Upset Special***
Saints at 49ers: 49ers
This is my upset of the week. Last Sunday the 49ers had a terrible showing on the road at Seattle. Quarter back Alex Smith looked rattled by the Seahawks defense. This week he will be playing in front of his home crowd so he should feel a little more comfortable in the pocket. I love the 49ers defense in this game because of middle linebacker Patrick Willis. I think he will be excellent in pass defense against quarterback Drew Brees and that Saints passing attack. The game will also be played on Monday Night Football which gives the 49ers more incentive to win behind a pumped up crowd.
The rest of the weeks picks:
Cardianls at Falcons: Falcons
Chiefs at Browns: Browns
Bears at Cowboys: Cowboys
Eagles at Lions: Eagles
Bills at Packers: Packers
Dolphins at Vikings: Vikings
Buccaneers at Panthers: Panthers
Seahawks at Broncos: Broncos
Rams at Raiders: Raiders
Jaguars at Chargers: Chargers
Texans at Redskins: Redskins
Ravens at Bengals: Bengals

DTTWSB Week 2 NFL Power Rankings
So with Week 1 of the NFL season in the books, we were handed plenty of surprises. I don't think many people had the Seahawks beating the 49ers the way they did, also no one expected the Bengals to get trounced in New England and Houston schocked me by beating the Colts. With that said, I'm not going to overreact with these Week 2 power rankings. The Super Bowl isn't won or lost in the first week of the season so everyone should chill out with the crowning of some teams and the trouncin of others. So here are the Week 2 power rankings.
1. Baltimore Ravens (1-0): The Ravens showed that they can play with the best of the best on Monday night. They had the most impressive win of Week 1 in my opinion. They may live up to the offseason hype. I think they're the most balanced team in all of football.
2. New York Jets (0-1): Even though they lost, I still feel like this team is flat out loaded. I don't expect much of a drop off from the loss of nose tackle Kris Jenkins because they were the number one defense in the league without him last year. I expect this team to bounce back this Sunday against the Patriots.
3. Dallas Cowboys (0-1): All is still well in Cowboys land, even after the loss to the hated Redskins on Sunday night. The Cowboys should be getting left guard Kyle Kosier and right tackle Marc Columbo back this Sunday to sure up the offensive line. The defense looks as good as advertised also.
4. New Orleans Saints (1-0): The defending Super Bowl champions had a nice outing last Thursday when they beat the Vikings. They showed that they can be effective in the run and pass. The defense is a little suspect but they should be able to control the ball/clock if they remain balanced on offense.
5. Indianapolis Colts (0-1): The Colts passing game was as good as advertised. Something that was very alarming though was their inability to run the football and stop the run on Sunday. The teams in their division are good running teams so they won't be able to run through their division as usual, keep an eye on this team.
6. Green Bay Packers (1-0): During the second and third quarter of their game against the Eagles, they looked pretty good. They didn't start or finish well though. The offensive line is as bad as it was last season so Aaron Rodgers and his receiving corp better be on their game if they want to win the NFC North.
7. New England Patriots (1-0): The Patriots biggest question mark this offseason was their defense and boy did it look good against the high-powered Bengals offense. I'm not a complete buyer of their defense but it's good enough to ultimately have them in the playoffs.
8. Tennessee Titans (1-0): I love the Titans this year. They are a very good football team. They do the things that win on Sunday, run the ball, stop the run, put pressure on the quarterback and they don't make mental errors. Head coach Jeff Fisher always has his team ready to play. Nothing should chage this week.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0): This team is my pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this February. Their defense looked great last Sunday without nose tackle Casey Hampton. Once he gets back they will be playing at an elite level that only the Jets can match. This is a very very very dangerous team that nobody wants to play.
10. Minnesota Vikings (0-1): It was easy to see that the Vikings offense seemed out of sync because their starting quarterback sat out of training camp. Favre and the wide receivers were just not on the same page. The Vikings defense also looked slow and tired. Look for them to get their legs back this Sunday at home against the Dolphins.
DTTWSB Week 1 NFL Picks
This is the moment we have all been waiting for. NFL football is officially back ladies and gentleman. We are about five and a half hours away from the kickoff of the Vikings and Saints game. This year on the Down To The Wire Sports Blog, I will be picking every single game this NFL season. Every week I will give slight analysis and pick four marquee games and one upset special. The remainder of the games will be picked without any explanation. So here are my Week 1 selections.
Vikings at Saints: Saints
Let's start off with the opening game of the season. I don't see how the Minnesota Vikings can go back to the "scene of the crime" 8 months later and pull out a win. Especially without their number one wide receiver Sidney Rice. If Favre would have gotten into training camp earlier, they might have a chance but I think Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is going to be dialing up too many blitzes for Favre to handle. That Superdome will be absolutely electric when they raise the Super Bowl banner from a year ago. This game may end up turning into a Bayou Beatdown.
Colts at Texans: Colts
This game is the single most important game in Houston Texans history. They have an opportunity to get a jump on the Colts this season by beating them. Their fans will be pumped up and ready to go, but there is no opposing quarterback that is better prepared for this situation than Peyton Manning. I think the Colts have a little too much fire power for the Texans to handle. The Colts are also getting Bob Sanders back which should be a great addition to their defense. Overall, I think the Colts still reign supreme over the AFC South, especially the Texans.
Packers at Eagles: Packers
Look for a lot of points to be put up on the board in this game. If you're in love with football being a passing game, this is the perfect matchup for you. Aaron Rodgers I think will be put his stamp on this game and on the league this season. What I'm most looking forward to in this game is the debut of Kevin Kolb as the definitive starting quarterback of the Eagles. I think he will play well in this game but Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers' 3-4 defense may confuse him on Sunday. I like the Packers to win but I think this game will definitely be decided in the 4th quarter.
Ravens at Jets: Jets
In my opinion, this is the game of the week and the fact that it's on Monday Night Football makes it that much better. These two franchises have aspirations to be playing in Dallas this February in the Super Bowl. Both teams have two young and upcomong quarterbacks and great defenses. This will be a very physical football game. I think Rex Ryan's defense will be too confusing for Joe Flacco. I see this as a bad matchup for the Ravens. Newly acquired wide receiver Anquan Boldin will be shut down by cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. Ultimately, the Jets will be able to move the ball on the Ravens because free safety Ed Reed will not be playing and two other DB's will be missing in action. I like the Jets in a close one.
***Upset Special***
Bengals at Patriots: Bengals
According to Vegas, the Bengals are the underdog in this game. In my opinion they should be the favorites so I will happily take this upset pick to the bank. The Patriots have a very depleted secondary and defense in general. I don't think they will be able to generate enough pass rush to frustrate Carson Palmer. Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocino, Jermaine Gresham and Jordan Shipley will be running wild on the Patriots secondary. I will be shocked if the Bengals don't put 28 points or more. Although the Bengals will be putting up points, the Patriots have a lot fire power as well. Brady, Moss and Welker will move the ball effectively as well, but ultimately their defense will be the achilles heel in this game and throughout the season.
The rest of the weeks picks:
Dolphins at Bills: Dolphins
Lions at Bears: Bears
Raiders at Titans: Titans
Panthers at Giants: Giants
Falcons at Steelers: Steelers
Browns at Buccaneers: Buccaneers
Broncos at Jaguars: Jaguars
Cardinals at Rams: Cardinals
49ers at Seahawks: 49ers
Cowboys at Redskins: Cowboys
Chargers at Chiefs: Chargers
DTTWSB Week 1 NFL Power Rankings
Can you feel the energy in the air? The NFL season is almost 24 hours away. I will be in front of a television screen tomorrow night watching the Vikings and Saints game. Man I love this time of the year! Right now I'm going to rank the top 10 NFL teams going in to Week 1 of the NFL season. The way I rank these teams doesn't necessarily reflect how far I think they will go this season. It's just who I feel are the best teams in the NFL right now. See if your team is in my top 10, and make sure to voice your opinion on the Down To The Wire Sports Blog Facebook page.
1. New York Jets: From top to bottom this team is loaded. They had the best defense in the league last year and they added more talent to it. They drafted Kyle Wilson out of Boise State who I'm very high on and they traded for Antonio Cromartie. Not to mention they added Jason Taylor and got Kris Jenkins back from a season-ending injury he had last season. Also, they added Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes who has looked great in camp. The only question mark is the progression of Mark Sanchez. He will ultimately determine how far this team goes.
2. Dallas Cowboys: Last year they were able to get the monkey off their backs by winning that elusive playoff game. They are returning a strong nucleus that has great chemistry together. Romo is looking better than ever and they added a big-time wide receiver in drafting Dez Bryant. The best part of the Cowboys is there defense which will cause havoc all season long. I wouldn't be surprised if outside linebackers Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer have 30 sacks between themselves playing in Wade Phillips aggresive 3-4 scheme. The Cowboys also have two Pro Bowl corner backs in Mike Jenkins and Terrence Newman. The biggest question is the offensive line, if they can consistenly protect Romo the Cowboys should be in the Super Bowl.
3. Indianapolis Colts: This team has been a fixture as one of the top 5 teams in the league for the past several seasons because they have Peyton Manning at the controls of a high-powered offense. Manning may have the best group of weapons he's ever played with. Anthony Gonzalez will be coming back which will be key. They also drafted Jerry Hughes to create more pressure on the quarterback. The big thing with the Colts is that safety Bob Sanders is back and healthy so he will improve their run defense. My major concern with the Colts is can they go punch-for-punch in the playoffs with a physical team like the Ravens, Steelers or Jets? That is yet to be dtermined.
4. Baltimore Ravens: For the first time ever, the staple of the Ravens team is their offense. With acquisition of Anquan Boldin, Donte Stallworth and now T.J. Houshmandzadeh, this looks to be a pass-heavy offseason. With that said, don't forget about running back Ray Rice, who may be their best offensive player. Last year he had a breakout season and I expect for him to secure himself as a top flight NFL running back this year. The biggest concern with Ravens is their depleted secondary. Ed Reed is out for the first six games and they lost two corner backs to injury as well. I'm questioning how far this team can really go, only time will tell.
5. Green Bay Packers: I have nothing but great things to say about Aaron Rodgers, he is a top 5 NFL quarterback. Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson definitely made the right decision taking Rodgers over Favre. In addition to Rodgers, this team has a lot of young talent. Tight end Jermichael Finley broke onto the scene last year in the NFC Wildcard game against Arizona. Jennings and Driver will be fixtures as well. The Packer defense will be a top 10 unit this season. Outside linebacker Clay Matthews should become a Pro Bowl-caliber player. My major concern with the Packers is can they maintain offensive balance and be able to run the football with that great passing game.
6. New Orleans Saints: Don't talk to me about respect because the Super Bowl was last February. This is a new season and to be honest I didn't think the Saints were the best team in the league last season. I love the offense with Drew Brees at the helm. I don't expect their defense to play as well as it did last year. Sean Payton will have his guys ready for the season but the Super Bowl hangover may be too much. I feel like the Saints will have to experience this season as the hunted instead of the hunter. They're going to have to play 16 Super Bowls this season because everyone will get up to play them. I'm not sure if they can handle that pressure.
7. San Francisco 49ers: This is a very young and up and coming football team that has a lot of great pieces. That defense is stacked with Patrick Willis leading the way. Head coach Mike Singletary has his guys playing with a 'hit you in the mouth' kind of swagger. They fly around the ball and defend the pass very well. Everyone knows about their defense, but not everyone knows about the potential their offense has. The offensive line is a top 10 unit and with Frank Gore running the football behind them, they should be a strong rushing attack. With that being said, it should open up the passing lanes for quarterback Alex Smith. For the first time in his career, he will have the same offensive coordinator for consecutive seasons. If he can play well, look for big things from this team.
8. Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings are on a slippery slope right now. They have put all their eggs into the Brett Favre basket. Their offensive line looked bad at the end of last season. They're still dangerous when running the football because they have one of the leagues best running backs in Adrian Peterson. What's going to hurt them the most is missing wide receiver Sidney Rice for half the season. He stretches the field for them with his speed and height. Also, you shouldn't expect Favre to put up the same numbers as he did last season, he is simply too old and beaten up. I wouldn't be surprised if his consecutive games streak ends this season. Viking country should definitely be worried this year.
9. San Diego Chargers: Oh boy, a few years ago this team was one of the most talented teams in the NFL. They have fallen off because of contract disputes and age. GM A.J. Smith has put a lot of pressure on Norv Turner by not having wide receiver Vincent Jackson and left tackle Marcus McNeill in camp. Fortunately for the Chargers, they play in the AFC West which is arguably the worst division in the entire league. I think that the Chargers can get McNeill and Jackson back and win double-digit games, but don't look for this team to go deep into the playoffs.
10. Cincinnati Bengals: When you look at this team, there are a lot of things to love. They have a ton of weapons out wide with Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco, Jermaine Gresham and Jordan Shipley. Defensively they have a decent pass rush and quality players in the secondary. This is a playoff caliber team, but I don't think this is a team that can win in the playoffs because they have two major issues staring at them right in the face. Number 1, that offensive line is very shaky, if they can protect quarterback Carson Palmer, their offense will be very explosive. But if they don't protect Palmer, they will have trouble moving the ball because they look like they want to become a pass-happy offense. Also, the million-dollar question is can T.O. and Ochocinco co-exist? That will be a storyline followed throughout the season.

2010 NFL Season Predictions
We are four days away from the opening kickoff of the 2010 NFL season when the New Orleans Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night football. This time of the year is filled with optimism because most fans (who aren't really that objective) have their team making the playoffs if not the Super Bowl. With that said, I'm here to burst many teams bubbles. You may be surprised who I have making the Super Bowl and by who I have missing the playoffs. That is the beauty of the NFL, during any given season any team can make a run at the Lombardi Trophy.
