DTTWSB Week 17 NFL Picks

Welcome to Week Do or Die. It's the final week to what has been a great NFL regular season. After today, 20 teams will be finished until next September unless we have a dreaded work stoppage. This is the trickiest week to pick games in my division. Every matchup is a divisional matchup and some playoff teams rest their starters so I had to take that into consideration. Last week I had one of my worst weeks picking games by going 7-9. That brought my season record to 147-93 which has me around 5th compared to the ESPN NFL experts. With all those said, it's been a great regular season; I look forward to watching and picking the playoff games. Here are my Week 17 picks.

Buccaneers at Saints: Saints

The defending champs are hot right now and will look to continue their momentum into the playoffs. At home, I expect nothing less than a win for the Saints. The Who Dat nation is alive and well and peeking at the right time.

Bears at Packers: Packers

In a do or die game for their season, the Packers will be able to take care of business at home. Since the Bears locked up the number 2 seed, I'm not sure how serious they're going to take this game. Green Bay has everything to play for so I'll take them.

Giants at Redskins: Redskins

This could head coach Tom Coughlin's last game coaching the Giants if they don't make the playoffs. His team has lost all confidence and looks in shambles. I think they'll be able to get it together when they take on the Redskins this afternoon in D.C. It might not be enough for them to make the playoffs though.

Rams at Seahawks: Rams

For the Sunday night matchup we have the NFC West championship game coming live from Seattle. The winner advances and takes the number four seed in the NFC playoffs. I believe that St. Louis and their rookie quarterback Sam Bradford are going to walk away with a victory. Why? They're just better.

***Upset Special***
Cowboys at Eagles: Cowboys

In my upset special, I have the 5-10 Cowboys beating the 10-5 Eagles. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick isn't playing because of his bruised thigh so that means we'll see Kevin Kolb play. A lot of Cowboys players are playing to keep their jobs next season so I think we'll see a good effort from them.

The rest of the weeks picks:

Panthers at Falcons: Falcons
Steelers at Browns: Steelers
Vikings at Lions: Lions
Raiders at Chiefs: Chiefs
Dolphins at Patriots: Patriots
Bills at Jets: Jets
Bengals at Ravens: Ravens
Chargers at Broncos: Broncos
Titans at Colts: Colts
Cardinals at 49ers: 49ers
Jaguars at Texans: Texans
