DTTWSB Week 4 NFL Power Rankings

There were a lot of divisional matchups in Week 3 that allowed us to see where most teams stack up in this league. There were a couple surprises like the Bills knocking off the Patriots and the Lions coming back from being 20 points down at the half. One thing I try not to do with these power rankings is become a prisoner of the moment. Many people are high on the Bills and the Lions as am I, but I'm not going to suddenly propel them to the top 5 of the rankings just because they're 3-0. I'm looking for the 10 best teams in the NFL right now, so with that said here are my Week 4 power rankings.

1. Green Bay Packers (3-0): As long as the Packers keep winning I don't see how I can put anybody else at the number 1 spot. They're the only team in the league that I've been able to get a read on.

2. Baltimore Ravens (2-1): The Ravens will need to quarterback Joe Flacco to put up stellar numbers like he did last Sunday this week when they take on the Jets in a huge AFC showdown.

3. New Orleans Saints (2-1): I don't care how bad the Saints defense is; if they keep scoring points at this record pace nobody will be able to keep up with them, especially in the Superdome.

4. New England Patriots (2-1): Offensively the Patriots will be fine. They just need to find some kind of balance. All my questions about this team are on the defensive side where they've been a subpar unit for the past couple seasons.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1): We see the same offensive line problems from the Steelers every season and they still manage to go deep into the playoffs. I don't see why this year is any different.

6. New York Jets (2-1): Last week the Jets got humbled by an upstart Raiders team. A great week of practice and preparation should have Rex's bunch ready to take on the Ravens on Sunday night.

7. San Diego Chargers (2-1): If the Chargers can come out of this month with 3 wins they will be ahead of schedule. All they need to do is stay par to the course in their division and they should be able to walk away with the AFC West crown.

8. Dallas Cowboys (2-1): This Cowboys team is banged up like no other. Tony Romo willed them to victory on Monday night, but with a hot Detorit Lions team coming to town the 'Boys have no time to rest on their laurels.

9. Detroit Lions (3-0): This is the first time in DTTWSB history that the Lions have been featured in the power rankings. They have an excellent opportunity to show themselves and America that this 3-0 start is for real when they take on the Cowboys this Sunday.

10. New York Giants (2-1): With all the injuries in the secondary and to the receivers, who would have thought that the Giants would be tied for first in the NFC East in the first month of the season. I credit head coach Tomo Coughlin for getting his guys mentally and physically ready for battle.
