First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Veteran's Day. Make sure appreciate what our past and current vets have done for this country. Last week, I had a pretty good week picking games. My record was 9-4 which puts my season record to a decent 77-53. That has me tied for second when in comparison to the ESPN NFL experts. There are some tricky games this week so I'm hoping that I can catch some breaks with my selections. With that said, here are this weeks picks.
Ravens at Falcons: Ravens
Although the Falcons are extremely tough to beat in Atlanta, I like the Ravens to win this game. The Ravens defense should be able to slow down the Falcons high-powered offense. Atlanta will have trouble stopping the Ravens rushing attack which should open up the passing game as well. I expect this one to be close but I'll take Baltimore to the bank.
Titans at Dolphins: Titans
This will be the Dolphins second game in a row playing a physical team. The Titans should be able to move the ball against the Dolphins since they just claimed wide receiver Randy Moss off the waiver wire. I think the bye week will serve Tennessee well since they have a great head coach in Jeff Fisher. Ultimately I feel that the Dolphins are pretenders so I don't expect them to win this game.
Patriots at Steelers: Steelers
This is the game of the week in my opinion. I know I will be glued to my couch watching this one from start to finish. Being at home, I expect the Steelers to win this game. It should be tough game because the Patriots usually don't lose two games in a row. I'll be interested to see how the Steelers offense does against the Patriots defense. This game will go down to the wire in my opinion. At home, I'll take the Steelers.
Eagles at Redskins: Eagles
Vick versus McNabb Round 2! Hopefully Vick can stay healthy throughout the game because I'm sick of watching Kevin Kolb play quarterback. Right now the Redskins are in turmoil so I don't expect them to come together and beat an Eagles team that plays with its hair on fire when Vick is at the helm. Give me the Eagles in this one.
***Upset Special***
Vikings at Bears: Bears
My upset special this week is Chicago over Minnesota. The soap opera that is the Vikings is going to implode here pretty soon. Every week there's something new happening. Also, I think the Bears will be hyped up since they'll be at home against a division rival. If Jay Cutler can minimize the mistakes, which I think he can this week, the Bears should be able to win this one.
The rest of the weeks picks:
Lions at Bills: Bills
Jets at Browns: Jets
Bengals at Colts: Colts
Panthers at Buccaneers: Buccaneers
Texans at Jaguars: Jaguars
Chiefs at Broncos: Chiefs
Cowboys at Giants: Giants
Seahawks at Cardinals: Cardinals
Rams at 49ers: 49ers
