What a slate of games we have to enjoy this week in the NFL. This is another one of those weeks where you can just sit down and grab a bowl of popcorn and become a couch potato all day. Last week I didn't do that great, I scored an 8-6 record which put my season record to 85-59. That record has me at third place in comparison to the ESPN NFL experts. I'm excited that the bye weeks are over with so now I'll have 16 games to choose from the rest of the way. Here are the Week 11 picks.
Packers at Vikings: Packers
In what should be Vikings quarterback Brett Favre's last game against his old team, I expect much of the same from him and the Vikings. They're an awfully talented team but they don't seem to be able to put it together on Sunday. That's the opposite of what's going on in Green Bay. The Packers are playing as a unit while the Vikings are playing as individuals. I'll take the Packers in this one.
Texans at Jets: Jets
After two hard fought wins on the road, the Jets should be happy to be back at home. I think their defensive scheme will be good enough to slow down that Texans offense. If the Jets stick to their ground and pound style of offense they should have this game well in hand. The only way I see this Texans team winning is if the Jets beat themselves, which I don't see happening this Sunday.
Colts at Patriots: Patriots
In what should be a high-scoring affair, I have to go with quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots. They're playing at a high level and should be able to keep that up at home this Sunday. It will be a tough task slowing down Colts quarterback Peyton Manning but Patriots head coach Bill Belichick should be up for the task. I'll be looking forward to watching this one because the two best quarterbacks of the past decade will be at work.
Giants at Eagles: Eagles
Sunday Night Football has blessed us with yet another great divsional matchup. The past month the Giants have been one of the hotter teams in the NFC and the Eagles are coming off a convincing win on Monday Night Football against the Redskins. I can not wait to see how the Giants defense will try and contain Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Right now that task seems impossible and I don't think the Giants will be able to conquer it. With Vick the Eagles play with the swagger of a champion.
***Upset Special***
Falcons at Rams: Rams
Those who follow my blog closely probably think I'm the biggest Atlanta Falcons hater but that's not the case. I legitimately don't think they're going to win this week. The Rams are very good at home and Falcons are coming off a physical and emotional game against the Ravens last Thursday. This one has the look and smell of a trap game and I think it will be. Give me the Rams in this game.
The rest of the weeks picks:
Bears at Dolphins: Dolphins
Bills at Bengals: Bengals
Lions at Cowboys: Cowboys
Redskins at Titans: Titans
Cardinals at Chiefs: Chiefs
Raiders at Steelers: Steelers
Ravens at Panthers: Ravens
Browns at Jaguars: Jaguars
Seahawks at Saints: Saints
Buccaneers at 49ers: Buccaneers
Broncos at Chargers: Chargers
